Consequent to the authorisation of our Bank by RBI and Govt. of India for conducting Govt. Business, the Bank is handling Collection of various Central/ State Taxes through its authorised Branches. Presently, the Bank is handling the Collection of various Taxes as under:

• Central Govt. Taxes - Collection of Direct Taxes on behalf of CBDT; Collection of Central Excise & Service Tax on behalf of CBEC.
• State Govt. Taxes - Collection of Sales Tax/ VAT in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, NCT of Delhi and Chandigarh UT.

As part of e-Governance initiative as also for providing convenience to the Assessees/ Taxpayers, the various Revenue collecting Central Govt. Departments as well as few State Governments have introduced/ are introducing the e-Payment Facility for online payment of taxes on the Internet by Assessees/ Taxpayers maintaining Accounts with the various authorised Banks including Axis Bank.

Presently, our Bank is providing the e-Payment Facility for the following Taxes:

The Bank is also in discussions with Govt. of Gujarat, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Govt. of NCT of Delhi for providing similar e-Payment facility for online payment of State Taxes on the Internet.
